Engineered biomaterials · Regenerative medicine
Building the scaffolds the body regenerates around.
Cellionix designs and manufactures next-generation electrospun biomaterials that support tissue repair and regeneration — engineered for the performance medical device teams need to bring new therapies to patients.
What we do
A young company built around a single conviction: the right material, structured the right way, can help the body heal itself.
Cellionix develops electrospun fibrous materials — networks of fibres many times finer than a human hair — engineered to mimic the natural extracellular matrix that surrounds living cells. Structured this way, these materials give cells a familiar environment to attach to, grow through, and rebuild tissue upon.
We work at the intersection of materials science and biology, taking scaffold designs from early lab-stage prototypes toward materials that meet the standards required of implantable and wound-care medical devices.
Our goal over the next phase is to validate our lead platform against a defined clinical application, build out our IP position, and bring in the partners and capital needed to move from bench to first-in-human studies.
Our technology platform
Three capabilities underpin everything we build, from first prototype through to manufacturable product.
Fibre engineering
Precise control over fibre diameter, alignment and porosity, tuned so each scaffold matches the mechanical and biological demands of its target tissue.
Material design
A materials library spanning resorbable and permanent polymers, selected and blended for biocompatibility, degradation profile, and long-term performance.
Scale-up pathway
A development approach built from day one with manufacturability and regulatory pathway in mind, so lab-stage work translates cleanly into production.
Why now
Advanced wound care and tissue-repair markets are shifting toward materials that do more than cover a wound — they actively guide repair.
A gap in the market
Demand for regenerative solutions in wound care, orthopaedics and cardiovascular repair is growing faster than the supply of manufacturable, regulatory-ready biomaterials. Most innovation stalls between the lab bench and pilot-scale manufacturing — exactly the gap Cellionix is built to close.
Our position
As an early-stage company, we can move quickly, focus our science on a defined application, and design our manufacturing process and IP strategy together from the outset — rather than retrofitting them later, as larger, slower-moving players often must.
Roadmap
Where we are, and what the next round of funding takes us toward.
-
Complete
Founding & early-stage lab work
Company established; initial scaffold prototypes produced and characterised at bench scale.
-
In progress
Application validation
Narrowing to a lead clinical application and generating the data needed to support partner and investor conversations.
-
Next, with seed funding
Pilot-scale manufacturing & IP filing
Building out pilot production capability, formalising our intellectual property position, and engaging regulatory advisors.
-
Ahead
First development partnerships
Working with device manufacturers and clinical partners to move our lead platform toward first-in-human evaluation.
Building this alongside the right investors.
We're raising to take our lead platform from validated prototype to pilot-scale manufacturing. If you back early-stage biomaterials and medical device ventures, we'd like to talk.
